lion

I have been told that my animals always have creepy eyes. I guess the king of the jungle has a scary stare. I kinda like it. Rarrr.

eagle

It's a bald eagle clenching a dagger in its mouth, crushing a soccer ball in it's talons. That's all you need for a good time. Now, who would dare to eat it?

Vanessa + Jason

I have been looking forward to making Vanessa's wedding cake for a very long time. Making a wedding cake for a best friend is the reason why I love what I do. I don't give great speeches, I am an appalling public speaker, but I show my love through food. I always keep it sweet.

This cake tells the story of a life time of friendship. It also tells the story of discovering an amazing love. It is the path we take in life to end up exactly where we belong. You might have to swim up stream, but in the end the journey was a beautiful one. Vanessa has been a best friend and a supporter of mine forever. Her generosity and kindness are effortless. She is as beautiful as she is smart. And funnier than anyone gives her credit for. She and Jason have a seamless way to put you at ease and make you feel welcome. I can sum up their relationship with laughter. And they sure know how to throw a good party!

Congratulations V & J!

ratbit

Kelsey has a new friend. The Ratbit. Half rat and half rabbit. She possesses the unfavorable attributes of a rat, such as the slinky tail, coarse greasy fur and affinity for putrid trash. However the Ratbit does have the docile disposition of a bunny with its perky ears and large Thumper-like hind legs. All alone in the world, she is truly a one of a kind. As special as she is frightening.

yiyi + pete

"Yi Yi and Pete are the best of the best." TC Chang.
I have been blessed to be best friends with YiYi for what seems like my entire life. She has always been an inspiration to me. She is intolerably clever and wickedly smart. Cool, and easy to talk to. Effortlessly beautiful, and my spiritual guide. (It is little known that YiYi has given me my "signs from god," pendants that offered protection from evil. Thank you YiYi)

As a couple, YiYi and Pete are untouchable. They are equally matched in their curiosity, adventuresome spirit and ambition. I have relied on them over the years for a lot of laughs, a shoulder to cry on, and a television to watch all the great reality programs I would have otherwise missed.

It was an honor that I was able to make their cake. I held my breath for days. Sleepless nights and a lot of gum paste later I made their Apple Blossom Cake, inspired by the orchard they were married in, and the very special "chinese" cutting cake. It meant so much to be to be a part of their special day. I show how much I love you guys through sugar. Its the only way I know how.

The beautiful pictures were taken by Arthur Chang.

the best

Ccc-as

Yes, it is a baseball with the A's logo on it. Thanks for asking. And yes, it is the best.
I have a long standing distrust of the Cupcake Cake. They are vile, lumpy, distasteful creations, fancied by Supermarket Shelves nation wide. I have seen many of these bleak and pitiful creations made to celebrate most holidays...
None as glorious as my baseball CCC to celebrate my birthday. I love my CCC. It is not everyday I get a birthday cake made for me. It was a great honor to have my beautiful housemates craft this clever arrangement of cupcakes. In good taste, the ladies made them not only organic, but a little on the baked side. Thank you Mia and Shetal. It is a gift I will never forget.

eve-il eye

I am well known for my scathing evil eye. Over the years I have perfected my icy, piercing stare. That is why I was so excited to do this bazar and creepy treat. It's not every day someone asks me for a blood shot dilated pupil in cake. And I love it. The best reaction came from my coworker who screamed out loud when she opened the cake box.

The real story behind the eye was told to me by the middle aged men that bought it. These jokers ordered the scary eyeball for a childhood friend to commemorate their shared years spent tormenting the neighborhood man with the gimpy eye. Cruel childhood prank makes good cake.
